I found a Hymnal and Devotional book at an antique store which was printed in 1861! It is so rich in love for the Lord and proves school teaching and instruction was much different 160 years ago. I will be posting some amazing excerpts from this small 3X4 inch gem below.

The book contains prayers teachers would pray over their students before first period and before dismissal. It also contains prayers the school leadership would pray over the teachers. If only we did this in 2023!!!! The prayers and devotional truths are magnificent. It saddens me that these truths are no longer passed onto public schools. It is a travesty!  If you have 2 minutes I would exhort you to read the few sample pages below depicting the commitment to honoring Christ first in schools.
